The County offers employees a competitive benefits package. Within this site you will find information on medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, group legal, disability income protection plans, deferred compensation, retirement, wellness, and discount programs. Benefits are administered by the Benefits Administration Unit of the Risk Management Division, Internal Services Department. Current Benefit Summary & Enrolled Dependents(Employee Self Service)
Open Enrollment Website
The online enrollment process was reduced significantly! You will be able to complete your 2012 benefit election changes in just a few simple steps. Review highlights of the new screens Open Enrollment Instructions. The open enrollment website will not go live until October 31.
JMH Plan
The JMH Health Plan will not be offered to Miami-Dade County employees effective January 1, 2012. Current JMH Health Plan members must elect an AvMed medical plan for 2012. If you do not select a new medical plan, you will be defaulted to the AvMed plan most closely matching your current plan enrollment.
Transition of Services for Current JMH Members - a process will be in place to enable patients with certain medical conditions, currently being treated by a provider not participating with AvMed, to continue receiving uninterrupted care until a safe transfer of the services is arranged to an AvMed provider. Click here to download the Transition of Services form. Submit the completed form to AvMed by December 1. Both JMH and AvMed use PHCS, a nationwide provider network.

Online Beneficiary Designation Website
When was the last time you updated your life insurance beneficiary designation? Go directly online to update this important information. The process is easy, secure and will take just a few minutes from any computer, 24/7. The beneficiary website can be accessed through the eNet portal at enet.miamidade.gov.
FRS- 2011/2012 Contribution Rates and FAQs
There have been many changes to the Florida Retirement System (FRS) benefits passed by the Florida legislature during the 2011 legislative session. In response to inquiries from employees, regarding required employee and employer contributions, links to FRS 2011/2012 contribution rates and frequently asked questions (FAQs) have been posted under Notices on the benefits website. Please review to familiarize yourself with the changes.
