The cone of silence is lifted from a solicitation when the County Manager has made his recommendation to the Board of County Commission.  
The Cone of Silence has been imposed on the  following contracts. 

First-Tier Selection: (Maximum 100 points)

• Criteria 1A: Qualifications of firms including the team members assigned to the project. (50 points)
• Criteria 2A:  Knowledge and past experience of similar type projects. (20 points)
• Criteria 3A: Past performance of the firms. (20 points)
• Criteria 4A: Amount of work awarded and paid by the County. (5 points)
• Criteria 5A: Ability of team members to interface with the County. (5 points)

Second-Tier Selection: (Maximum of 100 points)

• Criteria 1B: Knowledge of Project Scope (50 points)
• Criteria 2B: Qualifications of team members assigned to the project. (40 points)
• Criteria 3B: Ability to provide required services within schedule and budget. (10 points)

All requests must be in writing the A&E Consultant Selection Coordinator and either mailed to the department, e-mailed, or faxed to 305-375-1083. The requests must also be copied to the Clerk of the Board and their fax # is 305-375-2484, or refer online to the Cone of Silence Report.
