Treatment Alternative to Street Crime (TASC) Division

The TASC Division operates outpatient diversion programs which includes individual and group counseling, urinalysis testing and acupuncture therapy. Another component is the Domestic Violence Overlay Program which provides substance abuse services to domestic violence offenders who have been identified by the Advocate Program as substance abusers.

Diversion Treatment Programas

The TASC Diversion Programs  are composed of three (3) outpatient units, strategically located from the Miami-Dade/Broward line to Florida City/Homestead, that provide intake and treatment services to offenders referred by the Miami-Dade Drug Court - Division 51. 

With its' comprehensive approach, this program provides a viable option for offenders referred to a substance abuse program for treatment by Drug Court. The program provides early intervention and serves as a meaningful alternative to incarceration for individuals who can adequately function in their respective communities.

Domestic Violence Overlay Team Program

The Domestic Violence Overlay Unit which provides wrap around counseling services and a unique treatment regime for domestic violence offenders who have been identified by the Advocate Program as domestic violence offenders with a substance abuse problem.

Correctional Susbtance abuse Rehablilitation and Aftercare Program- DUI

 

The Miami-Dade County Corrections and Rehabilitation Training and Treatment Center inmates are provided with substance abuse services by the Correctional Substance abuse Rehabilitation and Aftercare Program - DUI.

The DUI Program provides treatment services that include Individual and group counseling, substance abuse educational sessions, Self-help groups, and other support services to sentenced offenders.  The program has the capacity to provide treatment to a maximum of 32 offenders at any given time. Upon release, all clients are provided a referral for aftercare services.  The Program interacts daily with various levels of judicial personnel to address
