(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- On Saturday, December 20, Commissioner Dennis C. Moss and his staff will hand out toys to more than 1,000 children from the Homestead/Florida City area at his Second Annual Holiday Sleigh Ride Toy Giveaway. The event will include free food and entertainment including pony rides, rock climbing, music and more. Exhibits by Miami-Dade County and the cities of Homestead and Florida City will also be featured.

Commissioner Moss has spread the word about the giveaway by contacting more than 10 south Miami-Dade community organizations that serve children from low- to moderately low-income families. Each organization has been asked to identify 50 needy children who will receive toys. The rest of the toys will be given to other children who attend the Sleigh Ride.
