(Miami-Dade County, FL) --
County Commissioner Dennis C. Moss recently kicked off an initiative that he calls his "roving crew" in order to tackle problems with trash, litter and improper or illegal dumping in his South Miami-Dade commission district. The crew will be roving throughout District 9 weekly, Monday through Friday, picking up litter, junk and trash, in addition to coordinating matters related to enforcement with County departments such as Team Metro and Solid Waste.
"The roving crew will be the frontline in our effort to clean up our neighborhoods and transportation gateways that run throughout our community," said Commissioner Moss. "Through this aggressive approach, we'll have a cleaner community and a more positive image."
Residents and businesses of District 9 can call Commissioner Moss' District office at 305-234-4938 to report any problems with litter, junk, trash and overgrown lots.
