Commissioner Dennis C. Moss to Deliver Speech During Commencement Exercises for the Homestead Job Corps |

Miami-Dade County Commissioner Dennis C. Moss, District 9, will salute the 120 graduating students from the Homestead Job Corps Center during its commencement exercises, this Saturday, February 22, 2003. Commissioner Moss will deliver the commencement address to students receiving their General Educational Development Degree (GED) at the Job Corps Center, located at 12350 SW 285th Street in Homestead. Located on a portion of the former Homestead Air Force Base, the Homestead Job Corps Center has played a valuable part in providing job readiness to economically disadvantaged youth of South Florida between the ages of 16-24 for over 35 years. "I am always excited about sharing with the young people of this community," said Commissioner Dennis C. Moss. "The Homestead Job Corps program provides a service that is much needed in our community and it prepares our young people for the world of work."
