Commissioner Dennis Moss Provides $200,000 in Commissioner Dennis Moss Leads Transportation Committee on Tour and Briefing of Construction at Miami International Airport |

County Commissioner Dennis C. Moss, Chairman of the Transportation Committee for the Board of County Commissioners, on Thursday, February 27, will lead committee members on a tour of the construction program at Miami International Airport (MIA). Also, the Aviation Department will provide the committee members with an update on the business plan for the $4-billion Capital Improvement Program. The tour and briefing is the first of the Transportation Committee's monthly site visits at MIA that Commissioner Moss has scheduled. Part of Commissioner Moss' vision statement for MIA is to expedite the Capital Improvement Program and for the Transportation Committee to set the tone for the Aviation Department and MIA. Angela Gittens, Director of the Aviation Department, will help lead the tour. "I think it is vital for the Committee to see first-hand how the construction program is progressing at the Airport so we can have the most comprehensive understanding of how to move forward with oversight of the business plan," said Commissioner Moss.
