Commissioner Dennis Moss Hosts Community Festival and Clean Up Event in Southwest Miami-Dade |

County Commissioner Dennis Moss will host the 2003 District 9 Community Festival and Clean Up on April 26, 2003 at the new Chuck Pezoldt Park, located at the corner of Southwest 164th Street and 157th Avenue. The event is free and open to the public and will include a volunteer clean-up effort of the neighborhood surrounding the park, free food and entertainment for the whole family, and exhibits of current and future community improvement projects by Miami-Dade County departments including Parks and Recreation, the Department of Environmental Resources Management (DERM), Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), Public Works, Libraries, Solid Waste, Aviation, Office of Public Transportation Management (OPTM), Transit, Police and Fire-Rescue. Entertainment will be provided by local talent. "The Community Festival and Clean Up is an opportunity for District 9 residents to learn more about what their county government is doing to improve their quality of life and have a good time in the process," said Commissioner Moss.
