Advisory Boards

Community-Based Organization

Comprised of no more than 21 leaders, the CBO Advisory Board is charged with setting and advancing policies, goals, and objectives and has responsibility for the basis upon which County resources are invested and leveraged to accomplish stated goals, and for presenting a strategic “portfolio” of investments (grant recommendations) to the Board of County Commissioners.

Criminal Justice Council

The Dade-Miami Criminal Justice Council was created by the City of Miami Commission and the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners in 1978. This Council assumed all responsibilities formerly carried out by the Dade County Criminal Justice Advisory Council (established in 1972). 

Youth Crime Task Force

The Miami-Dade County Youth Crime Task Force (YCTF) was established by resolution in 1997, to address youth crime and violence programming needs. 

HIV/AIDS Partnership

The Miami-Dade HIV/AIDS Partnership is the official county planning board for HIV/AIDS.

Addiction Services

The problem of prescription drug abuse has become a fatal epidemic that affects individuals across all societal classes. Recent alarming trends show that 90% of patients in pain clinics are taking opioid medications
