Welcome to the Housing Finance Authority (HFA)

By stimulating the construction and rehabilitation of multifamily rental housing and the creation of home ownership opportunities, the Housing Finance Authority is working to alleviate the shortage of housing in Miami-Dade County. The Authority assists potential home buyers to prepare for the purchase of a home through a comprehensive home buying process training program.

Multifamily Rental Housing Revenue Bond Financing-2009 Edition

Applications will be available for the Housing Finance Authority of Miami-Dade County Multifamily Rental Housing Revenue Bond Financing for the first round of funding for the 2010 bond allocation on Wednesday, July 01, 2009.

2009 Homebuyer Workshops began in February

Application Processing Temporarily Suspended
Effective May 1, 2009, Miami-Dade Affordable Housing Foundation, Inc., has temporarily suspended application processing due to the lack of subsidy available from the County and City Programs. Applications recieved prior to May 1st, will be processed as usual. Once funds become available we will resume excepting applications as usual.

HFA Goes "Green"

Sustainable or "green" building practices have demonstrated the ability to save homeowners and renters from 25%-65% in utility costs every month. Homeowners can save tens of thousands of dollars in maintenance costs over the life of their home by implementing sustainable practices and products. Green just makes cents. HFA introduced a Sustainable Building Initiative in 2007.
