The Basketball Camp is free and only for MDPHA youth. Residents must pre-register for the camp by June 24th. Recruitment is taking place at the public housing management offices, or by printing the registration form available at www.miamidade.gov/housing/residents.asp or at www.cbfcamp.com. Space is limited; first come, first served.

MDPHA Summer Sports Camp 2011 will run from July 11 through July 29, in three, one-week sessions, Monday - Friday, from 8:00am to 4:00pm. It will be held at the Jose Marti Gymnasium located at 434 SW 3rd Avenue, Miami, FL 33130. This Camp will provide transportation.

Each camp session can accommodate 150 children. Campers will be provided with a nutritional lunch, snacks, a camp T-shirt, and free sneakers. Special guest speakers will visit the campers to encourage educational achievement, sportsmanship and teamwork. 

"This camp offers a positive alternative for low-income and at-risk youth to participate in an extraordinary summer experience," commented Gregg Fortner, Executive Director for MDPHA.
