Impact of Immigration Laws in Our Community Conference

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --
What is the economic and social impact of immigration in our community? What are the current and future developments in immigration laws and policies? A one day conference on the "Impact of Immigration Laws in our Community" will be presented by the Jay Malina International Trade Consortium (ITC), the Miami-Dade County Hispanic Affairs Advisory Board, the Hispanic Coalition, and Channel 51 / CBS6. The conference will be held at the University of Miami's Bank United Center, 1245 Dauer Avenue, Hurricane 100 room in Coral Gables on Thursday, June 7, 2007.

The economic, social and political aspects of immigration have caused controversy regarding race, ethnicity, religion, economic benefits, job growth, settlement patterns, impact on upward social mobility, levels of criminality, nationalities, political loyalties, moral values, and work habits. Learn from different economic, immigration, history, and law experts what changes are coming in terms of immigration law as well as social and economic changes that affect Miami-Dade County.
