Delegation from Taipei County, Taiwan, Will Visit Miami-Dade County


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 
On Monday, July 23rd, 2007, a delegation from Taipei County will visit Miami-Dade County. The delegation will be lead by the Honorable Hsi-Wei Chou, Governor of Taipei County, and includes the Director-General of the Civil Affairs Bureau, the Director-General of the Economic Affairs Bureau, the Director-General of the Information Office, and the Mayor of Bali Township.  There will be a presentation of the County Key and a protocol gift by the Commissioners to the Governor.

Who: Governor His-Wei Chou, Governor of Taipei County, Taiway and a delegation from Taipei County .

What:  The delegation from Taipei County will received by some members of the Board of County Commissioners.

When: Mondlay July 23 at 1:30 p.m.

Where: Miami-Dade County Government Center, 111 NW First Street, 2nd Floor Conference Room.

Why: The purpose of the delegation's visit is to strengthen the Sister Cities affiliation Taipei County has enjoyed with Miami-Dade County since 1989, visit the Port of Miami to better understand port constructions issues for a project in Taipei County, and to explore better trading opportunities, especially in the furniture industry
