While the Information Resource Center looks at the entire population in order to drive trends, policy and services, the Rite Track XP, developed by Handel Information Technologies, allows the JAC to address systemic issues that pertain to the individual child and their case. Handel Information Technologies worked with the JAC to implement this system with the Post-Arrest Diversion Program, which is currently the only arrest population handled exclusively by the JAC and managed out of the normal system. The implementation of Rite Track XP begins the process to accomplish five major improvements to the system:
1) Provides the platform in order to share important assessment information about a child to the Judiciary and service providers through secure use of the internet;
2) Eliminates redundancy of capturing data and client information by various agencies and individuals working with the child;
3) Allows the automated means for caseworkers to monitor progress and performance of child’s treatment plan, facilitating earlier involvement in the case of problems;
4) Allows the clinical supervisors of caseworkers the ability to monitor case management and case loads; and
5) Allows for automated study of recidivism (now conducted manually).
