Overview.

These entities include:

• Florida Department of Transportation
• Florida's Turnpike Enterprise
• Miami-Dade Aviation Department
• Miami-Dade County Public Schools
• Miami-Dade Expressway Authority
• Miami-Dade League of Cities
• Miami-Dade Permitting, Environment & Regulatory Affairs

The committee is responsible for coordinating, compiling and preparing the 5-year Transportation Improvement Program, or TIP, in conjunction with federal, state, regional and local agency representatives.

It meets every month when the TIP adoption cycle is started in July. In order to meet with federal requirements and deadlines for adoption of the plan, additional meetings are scheduled on an as-needed basis.
