    MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND 2009 GENERAL INFORMATION

    As we rapidly approach the Memorial Day Weekend on May 21-25, 2009.  The Goodwill Ambassadors (GWA’s) will once again provide their unique and valuable service to our community and our visiting guests on South Beach.

    For the 10th year in a row the Goodwill Ambassadors will be a positive presence to the more than 300,000 expected tourists.

    In preparation for this year’s deployment we are requiring all Goodwill Ambassadors to participate and attend a special Memorial Day Weekend Training session:

    Monday May 4, 2009
    10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
    Miami Beach Convention Center
    1901 Convention Center Drive
    Miami Beach, FL 33139

    Please bring: the following:
    Your County ID 
    Attached Supervisors Authorization completed with signature
    Desired Shifts selected from attached Spreadsheet

    Alternate Training Session:
    Tuesday May 12, 2009 
    3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
    SPCC 18-3 Conference Room
