Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis is a condition that features loss of the normal density of bone and fragile bone. Osteoporosis leads to porous bone that is more compressible like a sponge rather than dense like a brick. According to the National Osteoporosis Foundation, osteoporosis is a major public health threat for an estimated 44 million Americans, or 55 percent of the people 50 years of age and older.
