South Florida food lovers are invited to the 2018 Thai Food Festival

MIAMI – The Asian-American Advisory Board (AAAB), under the Office of Community Advocacy, supports the Wat Buddharangsi Buddhist Temple of Miami and the Thai-American Association of South Florida as they open the doors to far-East culture with the 2018 Thai Food Festival. This free event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday June 24 at the Wat Buddharangsi Buddhist Temple of Miami, 15200 SW 240th Street, Homestead, FL 33032. County Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava will be in attendance at 10 a.m.

The Thai Food Festival will serve as the 36th anniversary celebration of the Wat Buddharangsi featuring exotic and rare traditional Thai dishes and desserts, from four distinct regions of Thailand. Classical and traditional folk performances will entertain and dazzle event-goers as the beautiful Wat Buddaransgi Temple serves as a perfect backdrop to those looking to learn more about Thai culture.

In the heart of the Miami Redlands, the Thai Buddhist Temple is located on five acres of land and is a place where all are welcome to meditate and enjoy a moment of peace and relaxation. Built in 1982, the Temple welcomes everyone and serves as a spiritual home for people of a wide variety of backgrounds to include Laos, Sri Lanka, Japanese, Chinese, Cambodia, Vietnam, Russia, and many locals.
