The Office of Community Advocacy supports the Second Annual Domestic Violence Summit

MIAMI – The Office of Community Advocacy joins the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Council of Greater Miami in raising awareness on all forms of domestic violence at their Second Annual Domestic Violence Summit, Friday, November 2, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m., at Albizu University, 2173 NW 99th Avenue, Doral Florida 33172.

The summit is focused on the increased incidence rate of domestic violence. Statistics from research conducted on a case-by-case basis by Fatality Review staff will be discussed with the number of homicide and suicide records obtained from the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner Department and County law enforcement agencies which conduct their own homicide investigations.

Judge Carrol Kelly will be the keynote speaker and a group of experts from different disciplines will address domestic violence lethality and prevention. Community partners will explain the many programs and services available in #OurCounty.
