About Child Advocate
The Office of the Child Advocate advocates on children’s issues that help to make a difference improving the quality of life for the children in our community. The Child Advocate represents Miami-Dade County on all child related issues on local and state planning bodies, interested groups and service agencies.  Assistance is also provided to community based organizations that serve children and families in implementing the goals established in the Miami-Dade Strategic Plan.

Should you have a problem in obtaining services for a child or an issue that affects many children please contact the office of the Child Advocate.

Employees now have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children by becoming mentors, and all it takes is one hour of your time per week. For volunteering your time, Administrative Leave is available with the permission of your supervisor.
