Audit and Management Services

Welcome to the Audit and Management Services Department (AMS) for Miami-Dade County.
Our efforts are focused on identifying opportunities to improve performance and foster accountability while promoting more efficient, effective and ethical County government.  AMS reports directly to the County Manager, enhancing our ability to operate independently and without bias.

AMS conducts operational, compliance, performance, information technology and financial audits of County operations, as well as external companies, contractors, and grantees.  Our objectives are to assess the adequacy of internal controls, appraise resource management, and determine compliance with procedures, contract terms, laws, and regulations.

Overall, AMS serves the public's interests by providing accurate information in written reports, with unbiased analyses and objective recommendations on how best to use public resources.

In addition to audit services, AMS provides management consulting services to County departments.
