| Cathy Jackson began her career with Miami-Dade County in March 1990 as Deputy Director of the Audit and Management Services Department, and in July 1997, was appointed Department Director.
Prior to joining the County, Ms. Jackson practiced public accounting for more than 11 years with a major accounting firm, culminating her service as senior audit manager.
Ms. Jackson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Miami and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida. In addition, Ms. Jackson holds memberships in several professional organizations, including the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA), Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), and National Association of Local Government Auditors (NALGA).
