Miami-Dade Animal Services and University Of Miami School Of Law Team Up For H.O.P.E. Day of Service Event
Miami-Dade County Animal Services and the University of Miami School of Law will be hosting the “Helping Others through Pro Bono Efforts” (H.O.P.E.) Day event. H.O.P.E. Day is an annual day of service where first-year members of the University of Miami’s School of Law collaborate with upperclassmen to volunteer for the community at non-profit and governmental agencies.
This year, the H.O.P.E. Day of Service will be held on Thursday, August 15th, 2013, from 9:00am to 1:00pm, at Miami-Dade County Animal Services. The event will celebrate volunteerism and aims to encourage all members of Miami-Dade County to support, celebrate and promote shelter pet adoptions. Part of Miami-Dade County Animal Services’ mission is to mobilize volunteers to address community issues and strengthen community outreach, trust, and participation with a focus on engaging people of all ages, backgrounds, and skill sets. All adoption fees will be half off.
