About the Photographers

John Bouma is a South Florida based pet photographer who donates a portion of all pet portraits to local rescue groups. He can be found taking pictures of adoptable animals at a shelter or at a working with clients and their favorite four legged friends at the local dog park.

Peter Urbanski emigrated with his family from Poland to at the age 20 and moved with his wife to Florida 3 years ago. Having more time he began studying his passion of photography, has taken beginner and intermediate courses in photography. Has a great love for dogs but unable to own one at this time, knowing pet photography was challenging, he signed up to help photograph dogs at the shelter.

Walter A. Chacón volunteered his time and talents three days a week, four hours at a time, a year ago. He presented the idea of taking professional portraits of strays, abandoned and abused animals as a way of giving these "orphans" a better chance of being adopted into a new family. Walter has taken over 3,000 professional portraits of dogs and cats with many documented success stories. He is now the Volunteer Coordinator at the shelter.
