All Aboard! Miami-Dade County Animal Services Teams Up With the Gold Coast Railroad Museum for a Day of Pet Adoptions

(MIAMI, November 1, 2013) – In an effort to help reduce the number of homeless pets, Miami-Dade County Animal Services and the Gold Coast Rail Road Museum will hold a special pet adoption event on Saturday, November 2nd, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, at the Gold Coast Railroad Museum located at 12450 SW 152nd Street, Miami, FL.

The event will shed light on the tireless efforts and commitment of Miami-Dade County Animal Services Department and local rescues organizations to save the lives of countless dogs and cats every day.

The Gold Coast Railroad Museum will host a day of FREE admissions for the event. All pet adoptions will be ½ off for dogs and cats. Several activities will be available, for an additional cost, including trains rides, tours, arts & crafts, bounce houses and food trucks.

“I am pleased that these events are hosted in my district and support the collaboration between Gold Coast Railroad Museum and Miami-Dade County Animal Services in finding loving homes for these abandoned pets” said Commissioner Dennis C. Moss,

About The GOLD COAST RAILROAD MUSEUM:

The Gold Coast Railroad Museum is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, exhibiting, and operating historic railroad equipment. Miami's Gold Coast Railroad Museum houses an extensive collection of authentic train cars, including the "Ferdinand Magellan," commissioned for use by President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
