A happy tail update on KENYA

Kenya graduated her BASIC 1 training class, we are all very proud of her.
So I thought I'd send you guys an update, with more pictures of her of course. Kenya is doing great, and I'm happy that not only has Miami dade animal services brought me a new BEST FRIEND but also, I've started volunteering at the shelter and its awesome to help other dogs just like Kenya.

Thanks again Miami Dade Animal Services,

Gaspert
Hi my name is Leticia Lopez, I'm writing to tell you our story. 2 years ago we lost a family member he was a great dog but get sick and didn't make it. In that moment my husband and I promesed that in the moment we feel ready we will have another dog but he/she will be adopted. On December 5 2008 I received the best gift that I will ever have, we got Gaspert it was love at first sight. In the first days he was very shy but a very good dog, maybe our 1 year old cat (i found him walking at key biscayne, he almost die behind a car) help him to feel better and confident at his new home. in February we went camping he love it, we saw him very happy. sometimes we go to the beach and he love it too. I just can say thank you, with all the effort that all the volunteers from the shelter we found a friend, a companion a new family member. Also Coco our cat get neuter at the sheter like 3 weeks ago but he recover very quickly. maybe in the future if you want more updates about us, just write and again, thank you.

Jordan

These are pictures of my baby Jordan. Jordan was adopted on Febuary 18 under the name of Cupid. He has brought so much happiness to me since he became part of my family. I had two minature schanuzers that died 6 months apart last year, one was 12 years old and the other 17. Their death really broke my heart and I vowed not to ever get a dog and go through that hurt again. A part of me was missing and thats when I started my search at the shelter.

When I saw Jordan, I knew he was for me and I for him because he just barked and barked as if to say where have you been and what took you so long! I came back to the shelter at least 2 other days after putting him on hold to to let him no I was not gonna forget about him.

Anyway, the hairy pictures is when I first bought him home, the others are after he was able to get a bath and his hair cut, now he can really relax (as you can see!) Thanks for making it possible to fill that void in my life and for saving an animals life.

Mojito

Our two dogs pased away last year after 15 years of a wonderful life.  Our house seemed empty without them.  We decided to adopt a dog and just last week we adopted Mojito (Formerley Cholo).  We picked him up on Friday and as soon as he got home he became a diferent animal; happy and playful.  He loves chasing his tennis ball and playing tug-a-war with his rope bone.  My three daughters love him and he became another part of our family. He is not just another lap dog he chases the pigions and runs around the yard.  He also loves his new bed.

We love our Mojito, named after the Bacardi Mojito commercial since he shakes his but like in the commercial.  Thanks to you we have another wonderful animal which we love and cherish.  I will tell everyone I know about Mojito story and to help out the shelter.
