(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- Miami-Dade Animal Services in partnership with the Cat Network and with the support of the Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department is pleased to offer free spay and neuter surgeries for dogs and cats owned or cared for by Miami-Dade County residents.
The one day event will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2012, at Wild Lime Park, located at 14751 Hammocks Boulevard. This event is part of Animal Services' continued effort to bring spay and neuter services closer to the residents of South West Miami-Dade.
Cats will be spayed/neutered, de-wormed and vaccinated against rabies and FVRCP. Dogs will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated against rabies and DHPP.
"The solution to the current overpopulation crisis is to spay and neuter pets, by doing so pets will live longer and healthier lives", said Alex Muñoz, Director, Miami-Dade Animal Services Department.
