Miami-Dade Animal Services Department Partners with Schnebly Winery for First Ever Pet Speed Dating Event

Love will be in the air at Schnebly Redland’s Winery & Brewery on Sunday, June 10th, 2012. Adoptable pets from Miami-Dade Animal Services will be courted and showcased by their matchmakers, a.k.a., Animal Services volunteers.

At 3:00 p.m. the fun begins! Guests will participate in Pet Speed Dating, spending an allotted amount of time with each adoptable pet, getting to know them with the assistance of the designated pet matchmakers.

Then the excitement and anticipation builds with the silent auction; participants will enjoy local wine and take in the breathtaking scenery that Schnebly’s Winery & Brewery offers as they bid on their potential lifelong companions. Bids will cover the cost of pet adoption and be accepted as a donation to Animal Service’s Animal Trust Fund.

The enchanting landscape of Schnebly’s Winery & Brewery, sweet smell of homemade brew in the air coupled with loving, adoptable friends should make for a unique, spirit-lifting event; sparks are sure to fly at this one!

Even Kiki Hamann, world renowned designer of Canine Couture, will make a special appearance in support of this first ever Pet Speed Dating Event. Hamann is a long time supporter of pet adoption and rescue efforts.

Each year, Animal Services receives over 30,000 pets. The goal of this event, as with any event in which the department participates, is to increase pet adoptions and community awareness and involvement with the shelter.  For more information, visit Miami-Dade Animals or call 3-1-1.
