Miami-Dade Animal Services Teams up With Community Action and Human Services Department to Celebrate National Senior Citizens Day by Offering Free Pets

If you can’t make it to the Animal Services Shelter, we’ll come to you! In an effort to facilitate adoptions, the Miami-Dade County Animal Services Department in collaboration with No Kill Nation will host weekly adoption events at the Stephen P. Clark Building on August 24th and 31st, located at 111 NW 1ST Street, in Miami from noon - 5:00 p.m.

On site, No Kill Nation Volunteers will be promoting pet adoption and discussing the importance of responsible pet ownership. Adoption counselors and volunteers will be showcasing potential adopters the joys of adopting a shelter pet.

“It is our ultimate goal that we can one day become a shelter where all adoptable pets find loving homes.  Over 100 pets are abandoned daily and it is our deepest hope that these pets become part of a great family,” said Alex Muñoz, Director of Animal Services.
