Miami-Dade County Animal Services will offer 50 percent off pet adoptions during a free spay/neuter event sponsored by Commission Vice Chair Lynda Bell on January 25

(Miami, January 22, 2014) – Miami-Dade County Animal Services Department and The Cat Network, as part of the ASPCA Community Partnership, will offer 50 percent off pet adoptions during Vice Chair Lynda Bell’s free Spay and Neuter event taking place on Saturday, January 25, 2014, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Redland Market Village, 24420 South Dixie Highway, Homestead, FL. 

“As a lifelong animal lover and animal rescuer, I know first-hand the joy these furry little friends bring to individuals and families. For these reasons, I am delighted to, once again, partner with the County’s Animal Services Department, the ASPCA and The Cat Network as we combat the pet overpopulation in our community and help bring together loveable, stray animals to caring, loving homes,” said Vice Chair Bell.

Spay/Neuter is by appointment only. To schedule an appointment for dogs, please call 3-1-1. To schedule an appointment for cats, please call 305-233-9958.
                                                                                
Requirements; No Exceptions:  Service for Miami-Dade County residents only. A maximum of four (4) appointments per residential address. Proof of current rabies vaccination must be provided for all dogs and cats. Dogs and cats without a current rabies vaccine will be vaccinated at the time of surgery (only dogs up to 40 pounds are eligible).  Cats will have their ears tipped.  Veterinarians may decline surgery of any pet due to health reasons.
