Miami-Dade County Animal Services will host reduced fee pet adoptions during the Florida Heart Reasearch Institute's "Bark for Your Heart" event on Sunday, March 16, 2014 in South Miami

Pet adoptions will take place behind First National Bank of South Miami from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

(Miami, FL) - Miami-Dade County Animal Services (ASD) will host reduced fee pet adoptions at the “Bark for Your Heart” event taking place Sunday, March 16, on the corner of SW 58 Avenue and SW 73rd Street, behind First National Bank of South Miami from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Adoption fees for pet lovers will be reduced by 50 percent. Adoption fees for dogs over 35 lbs. will be waived and adopters will be only be responsible for a $27 license fee.  All pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and ready to go to a forever home

The Florida Heart Research Institute’s “Bark for Your Heart” is a family and dog friendly event aimed at bringing attention to heart health and to research studies that have determined owning a pet may help lower blood pressure, obesity and cholesterol, as well as reduce the risk of heart disease and increase survival among patients.
