Miami-Dade County Animal Services will offer reduced fee pet adoptions during the "Aids Walk Miami 2014" post-event celebration on Sunday, April 27, 2014

Adorable cats and dogs will be available for adoption as part of the festive post-celebration activities that include live music, food, and fun.


(Miami, April 22, 2014) – Miami-Dade County Animal Services (ASD) will host pet adoptions at reduced fees during the AIDS Walk Miami post-walk celebration, Sunday April 27, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens, 2000 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, FL.

Adorable cats and dogs will be available for adoption at reduced adoption fees. The fee for dogs over 35 lbs. will be waived and adopters will be only be responsible for a $27 license fee.  All pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and ready to go to forever homes.

AIDS Walk Miami is a 5K (3.1 mile) walk-a-thon fundraiser benefiting Care Resource, South Florida's oldest and largest HIV/AIDS community organization providing research, prevention, care and treatment services to individuals in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties who are either affected or infected with HIV/AIDS. The fundraiser also benefits Food For Life Network Food Bank a 501[c] (3) non-profit organization that provides and delivers groceries, meals and nutritional education to eliminate malnutrition and starvation in men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS in Miami Dade County.  For more information about AIDS Walk Miami visit http://www.aidswalkmiami.org.

ASD’s pet adoptions will take place as part of the festive post-celebration activities at the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens that include, live performances, music, food and fun.
