Miami-Dade County Animal Services will offer 50 percent off pet adoptions during the ''Second Saturdays for Second Chances'' promotion at the Mall of the Americas starting Saturday, June 21
(MIAMI, June 18, 2014) – Miami-Dade County Animal Services (Animal Services) and the Mall of the Americas join forces to offer 50 percent off adoptions for pets more than four months old during the “Second Saturdays for Second Chances” pet adoption promotion beginning Saturday, June 21, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Mall of the Americas, 7795 W Flagler St, Miami, FL 33144. The pet adoptions will continue to take place at the Mall of the Americas every second Saturday of each month through the end of 2014.
“These are pets that once had a home and, who for one reason or another, were abandoned or brought to our shelter. They are loving, beautiful creatures that deserve a second chance in a forever home,” said Alex Muñoz, Director of Miami-Dade County Animal Services. “The larger dogs, over 35 lbs., are especially in need of a second chance and we want to remind the public that adoption fees for the larger dogs are waived throughout the summer.”
Adoption fees for dogs over 35 lbs. are waived until August 31, 2014. Adopters will be responsible for a $27 license fee.
Pet adoptions include spaying/neutering, deworming, age appropriate vaccinations, and microchip.
