Free cat and kitten adoptions at Haulover Park Saturday, Sept. 13

Miami-Dade County Animal Services and Miami-Dade Parks team up to offer free feline pet adoptions

(MIAMI, September 11, 2014) – Miami-Dade County Animal Services (Animal Services) in collaboration with the Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department will hold a fee waived cat and kitten adoption event on Saturday, September 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Haulover Park, 10800 Collins Avenue, Miami, Florida 33154 (Marina parking area, north of the park office). 

Pet adoptions include free spay/neuter, rabies vaccinations, deworming and microchipping. Cats will be tested for FIV and FeLV.

The free adoptions for cats and kittens at this Haulover Park event are made possible through the “R.O.A.R. (Reach Out. Act. Respond.) To Their Rescue” program grant provided by Animal Planet in collaboration with the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) to waive adoption fees for dogs and cats Miami until each market reaches a $25,000 cap in fee waived adoptions.
