(MIAMI, September 26, 2014) – On Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014, members of Marlins Ayudan, the team's front office community service program, spent the morning socializing with, and helping to care for, the furry Marlins fans at Miami-Dade County Animal Services. The 12 volunteers from Marlins Ayudan could be seen throughout the shelter and the shelter grounds walking, playing with and helping to care for the pets with lots of tender loving care.

''The time the Marlins Ayudan volunteers and all volunteers spend with our homeless pets makes a great difference in the health and well-being of these wonderful animals,'' said Alex Muñoz, Director of Animal Services. ''We are very grateful to the Marlins Ayudan organization for their time and the attention they offer to help us save the lives of shelter pets.''
