Miami-Dade County pet lovers "Share the Love" at ASPCA and Subaru sponsored event hosted by Miami-Dade Animal Services
(MIAMI, December 15, 2014) –On Saturday, December 13, 2014, residents of Miami-Dade County stopped by the Lehman Subaru dealership at 21400 NW 2nd Avenue Miami Gardens, FL, to celebrate at the Subaru “Share the Love” event along with the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) and a variety of adorable pets from Miami-Dade County Animal Services (Animal Services).
The event featured waived adoption fees on all Animal Services pets adopted. All adopted pets were spayed/neutered, dewormed, had age appropriate vaccinations, and were microchip. Residents who stopped by with pets who were already part of their family were able to take advantage of free vaccinations and, microchips as well as vouchers for free spay neuter services.
The waived adoption fees and other free services were made possible by a $2,500 grant from the ASPCA®. The annual year-end Subaru “Share the Love” event and celebration, which runs through January 2, 2015, Subaru donates $250 to the owner’s choice of participating charities, one of which is the ASPCA®. In turn, the ASPCA® distributes its donation to support animal welfare organizations and life-saving programs across the country and Animal Services is pleased to be a recipient of one of these grants.
“Being able to offer these services at no cost helps us ensure that everyone in our community can participate in helping us reach our no kill goal,” said Alex Muñoz, Director of Animal Services. “We are very grateful to the ASPCA® and Subaru for their generous donation to help save the lives of our shelter pets.”
