Miami-Dade Animal Services Invites you to Celebrate Independence Day by Pledging to Adopt a Shelter Pet

Wednesday July 3rd through Sunday July 7th

Miami-Dade Animal Services celebrates Independence Day with a weeklong adoption extravaganza. What better way to celebrate than to offer Adoption fees for cats will be waived and all dogs will be 50% off to the general public. To honor our Veterans and Military personal (with proper identification) we are offering free adoption for  both dogs and cats “The shelter has hundreds of wonderful pets in need of forever homes, this is a great opportunity to come out and find a special lifelong companion”, said Alex Muñoz, Director of Animal Services.

Each year, Animal Services receives over 30,000 pets. The goal of this event, as with any event in which the Department participates, is to increase pet adoptions and community awareness and involvement with the shelter.  It is our goal to find loving homes for these shelter pets and to reunite them with their families.
