Adopt a Pet

You can search for a pet online or go to the shelter. View descriptions and pictures of animals that are currently at our shelter.

Microchip Your Pet

A pet identification microchip implant is available at Animal Services for $10.00. The fee covers the basic registration of name, address and up to 2 telephone numbers and e-mail if provided by pet owner.

Dog Tags

License tags are required for all dogs. Every person owning, keeping, or harboring any dog over four months of age within Miami-Dade County must register the dog  and obtain a license tag.

Rabies Shots

Keep rabies vaccinations up-to-date for all dogs, cats and ferrets. It’s the law! Do not allow your pets to run free. If a wild animal bites your pet, seek veterinary assistance for the animal immediately.

Spay & Neuter Services

We offer $15 spay/neuter services for cats, every Thursday and Friday at the shelter. We also offer donor-subsidized, $30 owner co-pay, spay/neuter services for dogs, every Tuesday and Wednesday.
