• Attend a Volunteer Orientation
• Be 18 years of age or older (or 15 if volunteering with a parent or adult volunteer)
• Successfully pass a criminal history background check. Volunteers are responsible for paying the fee of $33.25 per person payable to the Board of County Commissioners, Animal Services Trust Fund which can be paid at orientation.
• Adhere to the volunteer dress code (long khaki pants, closed toe shoes, and volunteer t-shirt that will be provided)
• Effectively communicate in the English language
