Founded in 1929, the mission of the Miami-Dade Parks and Recreation Department is to ‘create outstanding recreational, natural and cultural experiences to enrich you and to enhance our community for this and future generations.’ Within this mission, the goals of the Division of Arts and Culture are to create an environment for the presentation and development of the arts and to use the arts to bring together people of diverse cultures, generations, and walks of life.
For over 20 years, Miami-Dade Parks has presented some of top visual and performing artists in the world…this year is no exception.
