Tom Robertson is the chief of the Environmental Section of the office and also practices in Torts, Foreclosures and Zoning subject areas. He is a trial attorney who has practiced before all levels of both State and Federal courts. In addition he has argued appeals in the District Courts of Appeal and the Florida Supreme Court, as well as the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.
Tom has been the lead attorney for nearly 15 years for the Environmental Cost Recovery Program at the Miami International Airport. This program has resulted in litigation in numerous courts and administrative bodies resulting in over $50 million in recoveries for the airport.
Tom provides advice to the County’s Public Works and Waste Management Department and the Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources. He also acts as counsel to various Community Zoning Appeals Boards and the Environmental Quality Control Board.
