Tom Robertson began his carrier with the County Attorney’s Office representing Public Housing and other social services agencies. He spent a year as an Assistant Director of Public Housing while still maintaining a full practice with the County Attorney’s Office. He has since handled matters and provided advice to nearly every County Department.
He is a trial attorney who has practiced before all levels of both State and Federal courts. In addition he has argued appeals in the District Courts of Appeal and the Florida Supreme Court, as well as the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.
Tom has been the lead attorney for nearly 15 years for the Environmental Cost Recovery Program at the Miami International Airport. This program has resulted in litigation in numerous courts and administrative bodies resulting in over $50 million in recoveries for the airport.
Tom provides advice to the County’s Public Works and Waste Management Department and the Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources. He also acts as counsel to various Community Zoning Appeals Boards and the Environmental Quality Control Board.
