What is the Black Affairs Advisory Board?

The Black Affairs Advisory Board was created for the purpose of advocating on behalf of the Black World Community; articulating issues and concerns of the community to the Board of County Commissioners and to make its constituents aware of the services and opportunities available through County government.

It operates exclusively as an official Miami-Dade County Board, subject to the General Laws of the State of Florida, County Ordinance 94-137.

As part of the Office of Community Advocacy, the Black Affairs Advisory Board is part of Miami-Dade County’s overall effort to ascertain and address the issues and concerns of all its diverse citizens.

For additional information, please contact Retha Boone-Fye, Miami-Dade County Office of Community Advocacy’s Black Affairs Advisory Board at 305-375-4606 .
