Online Beneficiary Designation Website
Have you had a major life event over the past few years (marriage, children, divorce, etc.)? When was the last time you updated your life insurance beneficiary designation? We have great news! Now you can go directly online to complete a new beneficiary designation form. The process is easy, secure and will take just a few minutes from any computer, 24/7. The beneficiary website can be accessed through the eNet portal at http://enet.miamidade.gov. If you are a first time user to eNet, you will be required to set-up an account and create a password to logon. Once you logon to eNet, just select the Online Beneficiary Designation link listed under the "My Menu" heading.
Please be aware that archived beneficiary information will not be loaded into the new system, therefore, the initial record will be blank until you enter current beneficiary information and submit the form online. The online form will supersede any previously submitted information (paper designation form) and will become your official beneficiary record for group life insurance purposes only. This system cannot be used to update beneficiary designations for the County death benefit ordinance, in-line of duty accidental death benefits or FRS.
Domestic Partner Benefits
On May 20, 2008, the Board of County Commissioners adopted an Ordinance to amend the Miami-Dade County Code to provide health insurance eligibility and other benefits to the domestic partners of Miami-Dade County employees. This provision applies to both same sex and common law relationships. County benefit plans that are otherwise available to an employee’s spouse and dependent children (health, dental, vision, and group legal plan) will be available to domestic partners and their dependent children, effective January 1, 2009.
Within this site you will find information on county healthcare, flexible benefits, group term life insurance, deferred compensation and discount programs.
