Let's Ride on Bike to Work Day, March 6 at Vizcaya Station

Make plans on March 6 to ride alongside community leaders and other bicycling enthusiasts as part of Bike To Work DayGet Acrobat!. The event is aimed at getting people out of the gridlock and into a whole new commuting lifestyle.

Arrive by bike at the Vizacaya Metrorail station by 8 a.m. and receive a free t-shit while supplies last!

Bike trail advocates seek support on Amendment 1

Imagine a statewide trail system that connects you to Key West, Tampa, Orlando, and Tallahassee. State legislators have been called upon to draft legislation for the implementation of Amendment 1, which could designate in excess of $20 billion over the next 20 years to environmental projects such as trails, beaches and wildlife habitats.

BIKE305 Month celebrations begin March 1

Miami-Dade’s Bike305 season is all about cycling, as the County gears up for the annual Bike305 Month celebration on March 1. During the month of March, residents are encouraged to try cycling to work, school and other destinations, as an alternative to driving on congested roadways. Cycling is a great way to exercise and see some of Miami-Dade’s scenic sites via safe, protected paved bike trails throughout the county. Read the press release
