Angela Maher, Director

Angela Maher was appointed Director of Human Resources for Miami-Dade County on January 22, 2008. She is responsible for leading the County's efforts to provide centralized human resources services, including recruitment, compensation and pay plan administration and payroll services. The Department maintains County employee personnel and medical records, negotiates and administers labor contracts, provides and coordinates centralized County employee training through Miami-Dade County University and manages the Employee Suggestion Program and Employee Support Services. 

Ms. Maher has held progressively senior HR leadership positions in several large organizations including General Electric, Verizon, Microsoft, and the University of Washington.  Most recently, Ms. Maher was Regional Director of Human Resources for TTM Technologies, a global manufacturing company.  While at TTM, she managed the successful integration of domestic and international acquisitions, which entailed consolidating operations and reallocating staff of several facilities in North America and China. 

Ms. Maher is a Florida native and holds a Master's degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois and undergraduate degrees in Sociology and Psychology from Virginia Tech.
