I am pleased to submit for your consideration my recommended FY 2007-08 Proposed Resource Allocation and Multi-Year Capital Plan, as prescribed by the Home Rule Charter and State Law. During this budget cycle, we have again enjoyed a very high level of input from each of our elected officials through the Commission Committee review process, as well as numerous one-on-one meetings. This year, the Mayor’s Budget Message was submitted on July 12, 2007 to Chairman, Bruno A. Barreiro and the Members of the Board of County Commissioners.  The Commission Auditor, my immediate staff, the Department Directors, and members of our community have been involved to provide us information to create a balanced plan to allocate resources consistent with the priorities and concerns of our community.
