FY 2008-09 Proposed Resource Allocation and Multi-Year Capital Plan

I am pleased to submit for your consideration my recommended FY 2008-09 Proposed Resource Allocation and Multi-Year Capital Plan, as prescribed by the Home Rule Charter and State Law. During this budget cycle, we have again enjoyed a very high level of input from each of our elected officials through the Commission Committee review process, as well as numerous one-on-one meetings. This year, the Mayor’s Budget Message was submitted on June 24, 2008 to Chairman, Bruno A. Barreiro and the Members of the Board of County Commissioners. The Commission Auditor, my immediate staff, the Department Directors, and members of our community have been involved to provide us information to create a balanced plan to allocate resources consistent with the priorities and concerns of our community.

George M. Burgess
County Manager

Mayor Carlos Alvarez presented the proposed 2008-2009 County budget at a press conference June 24th.
