The Building Better Communities Citizens' Advisory Committee (CAC) welcomed two new members at its March 7 meeting. Michael B. Smith, owner of Project Development and Construction Company, and Jacqueline Menendez, Vice President of Communications at the University of Miami, were appointed to the 21-member committee which monitors the implementation of the Building Better Communities General Obligation Bond Program (GOB).
Mr. Smith was appointed by County Commissioner Carlos A. Gimenez and Ms. Menendez was appointed by County Manager George M. Burgess to fill CAC vacancies. The CAC is comprised of 13 members appointed by each of the County Commissioners and eight members appointed by the Mayor and County Manager. The committee, chaired by Robin Reiter-Faragalli, reviews all proposed project modifications and makes recommendations to the Commission.
