Effective December 15, 2010, the City of Sweetwater annexed portion of unincorporated area of Miami-Dade County
Effective December 15, 2010, the City of Sweetwater annexed a portion of the unincorporated area of Miami-Dade County. Please see the attached map relating to the annexation area
. Effective immediately, the Miami-Dade County Permitting, Environment and Regulatory Affairs will no longer accept new permit applications for work to be performed on the properties annexed by the City of Sweetwater. Permit applicants will need to go to:

However, please be advised that the Miami-Dade County Permitting, Environment and Regulatory Affairs will continue to do the following:
- Complete the plan review process for valid applications accepted prior to December 15, 2010 and issue required permits and performs inspections.
- Accept revised permit applications relating to valid master permits.
- Issue subsidiary permits relating to valid master permit numbers issued by the department.
- Perform inspections on valid permits.
Additionally, be advised that after December 15, 2010 municipal reviews may continue to be performed by other county departments. Thank you for your attention to this matter
