Miami-Dade Extension/UF to host Plant Disease Management Workshop


(MIAMI, June 19, 2011) – The Miami-Dade Cooperative Extension Services in partnership with the University of Florida’s Food and Agricultural Services and BASF Chemical Company are hosting a Plant Disease Management Workshop for Ornamental Nurseries on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the County’s John D. Campbell Agricultural Center Auditorium located in Homestead, Florida.

The purpose of the workshop is to update growers and allied partners on the latest and best management practices for tackling this pest. In addition, participants will learn how to properly identify fungal and bacterial diseases and apply accurate management practices in order to deal with the problem correctly.
